Handmade Gift Series: For Your Lover
This is a set of DIY gift ideas for your boyfriend. Particularly your outdoor woodsy fashionable boyfriend who likes to take trips to cabins and wear ties. Each of these things I’d wear/own/use myself if I were a male, and maybe even if I wasn’t. Read below for links to each of the DIY projects to get a start on your handmade gifts.
Knit Tie. This one is a personal favorite of mine. I love love the simplicity of this purl bee tie. And the pattern is free! I don’t know which one I love more - the stripes or the dots.
Simple Wallet. This easy wallet would be easy for a non-sewer to even make! It only take 3 simple stitches to complete. Whip it up in about 15 minutes on your sewing machine, or hand stitch it.
Leather Keychain. So, I found this keychain elsewhere, and couldn’t find the DIY, but found a similar tutorial which you could reshape to look like the one pictured. I love the rustic, simple look.
Camping Stool. This little stool is so perfect. For sitting around a campfire, or in your living room.
Pajamas. There is ALOT of plaid going on here. These pajamas would look great in a soft chambray too.
Bowtie. This bowtie is the perfect easy gift to whip up. It takes about 30 minutes, and you can make it out of any fabric to match your man’s style.
Knit scarf. I’ve actually knit this scarf for myself and LOVE it. It was probably my favorite item to knit (super simple, but super engaging) and my favorite item to wear. I get so many compliments on it too. I think it would work perfectly for a man too.
Weekend bag. This is a great straightforward bag, and would look great in a sturdy canvas cloth.
Earlier this week, we covered DIY gifts for your BFF, and Friday we’ll take a look at things for your mom, and next Monday is everything you could make for you favorite cat lover!
